It all began over drinks at a local coffee shop….

We met up in our hometown (Denver) after some time away. Aaron shared his story of having to go to the doctor after a cheap bar of soap he used, while abroad, caused his skin to break out. The doctor prescribed special medication and Aaron was forced to stay home, bundled up, and embarrassed to go outside until his skin cleared up. What a horrible start to a vacation!!

Juwon shared his experiences traveling to Morocco and Nicaragua where he learned that everyday kids in developing countries can’t go to school because they need to get water for their families.

Somewhere between swapping stories, the idea for LifeSoap was born! Let’s start a little company and sell organic soap that caters to people (like Aaron) who have sensitive skin. Better yet, let’s give a portion of each purchase to help kids in developing countries receive clean water, better health, and a brighter future. Meanwhile, connecting our customers to the projects and children they are supporting by sharing pictures and updates in every box.

Armed with an adventurous spirit and a few dollars in our pockets we quit our jobs and invested all of our energy into turning this cool idea into a reality. And the rest, as they say, is history!
